地球環境に対する意識が高まる中で太陽光発電システムは，「再生可能エネルギー（資源）」の旗手として脚光を浴びている。本稿では，太陽電池の動作の仕組みやその歴史を振り返りながら当社の太陽光発電システム事業の現況と取り巻く環境を紹介している。住宅用太陽光発電システムでは日本の屋根事情に合せた寄棟モジュールを商品化し，産業用モジュールでは採光型やシースルーモジュール 等の，斬新なモジュールをランナップし，多様なニーズに応える取組みを推進している。太陽光発電事業は地上の住宅用から宇宙の人工衛星まで幅広い対象を事業領域としており，将来にわたって有望な事業領域である。
As a growing number of people has become more conscious of global environment than ever, PV (Photovoltaic) power generation systems are calling considerable attention as a leading renewable energy. We introduce the current status and situation of our PV business by illustrating its history and a mechanism of solar cell.
Taking into account the feature of Japanese residential roof, we have launched the triangular PV module for hipped roof that is commonly used in Japan. As for the PV system for industrial use, we have commercialized the innovative solar modules such as light-through type and see-through thin film type according to a variety of market-needs.
We cover the wide range of PV business area from the terrestrial use such as residential to the satellite use in space, and thus contribute to one of the most promising business activity in the coming age.
