近年のビデオカメラユーザにおいて，ビデオと本格的な静止画を楽しみたいという要望があり，動画，静止画とも高画質なシステムが望まれていた。
今回，カメラユニット交換システムを開発することにより，動画カメラと400万画素静止画カメラの両方を実現した商品の開発を行った。
There has been a strong demand to enjoy shooting both video movies and
high-quality still pictures with stand alone video camera system in recent
years. In order to realize this demand, the video camera system should
have high quality imaging system, especially for still picture quality.
Our recent development of camera unit exchange system have enabled us
to produce a new digital viewcam which equips two imaging system of video
camera and still camera with 4000K-pixels.
